We are now less than three weeks away from the championship rounds of the inaugural Guinness International Champions Cup tournament at Sun Life Stadium. On August 6th and 7th, all eight of the prestigious clubs from across Europe and the United States will call South Florida home for two days as they compete for the International Champions Cup Trophy. We continue our preview of the International Champions Cup participants this week by taking a look at Chelsea. Founded in 1905, the English Club Chelsea has won four Premier League titles, seven FA Cup titles, and one UEFA Champions League Title.
Youth will receive a free Dolphins Fathead and popcorn with $15 ticket; play on field postgame Miami, FL – In celebration of the “Kids Kickoff” to start the regular season home opener against the Atlanta Falcons on September 22, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill and Senior Vice President/Special Advisor Nat Moore announced a series of special events created to engage kids in a unique and interactive way. Based in Liverpool, Everton in one of England’s most well-known and successful teams, having won nine league titles, five FA Cups and the European Cup Winner’s Cup.
For the first time in its 25 year history, the Colombian Independence Festival will be coming to Sun Life Stadium on Sunday, July 21st. The festival, which will run from 1– 11pm, will include live musical acts, an electronic music tent, and soccer match. The Colombian Independence Festival is South Florida’s largest paid Latin American event. The main stage will feature a wide array of musical acts including Latin Grammy Award winning vallenato artist Jorge Celedon, the long running popular salsa group, Grupo Niche, and Fonseca, the Colombian singer and songwriter, who has won multiple Latin Grammy Awards.
A loud and excited crowd of more than 28,000 came out Friday evening for two CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer games at Sun Life Stadium featuring Haiti vs. Trinidad and Tobago and Honduras vs. El Salvador. In the first matchup, Haiti defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 2-0. Jean Maurice from Haiti started off the scoring for Haiti, netting the first goal at the 15 minute mark. The teams continued to battle back and forth for the remainder of the first half, with Haiti going into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
