The Miami Auto Fest Car Show and Concert, the first outdoor auto super show if its kind, comes to Sun Life Stadium this Saturday, April 26. This auto super show will feature exotic cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats! Auto enthusiasts will be treated to over and more 500 vehicles including classics, hot rods, low riders, street customs, tuners, imports and bikes. This family event is packed with activities and contests containing a motorcycle stunt show, burn-out contest, dyno machine and hydraulic hop.
Miami, FL – For only the second time since 2008, the Miami Dolphins will open the NFL regular season at home when they host their AFC East Divisional rival New England Patriots on September 7 at Sun Life Stadium. The opener against the Patriots is the eighth time the two divisional rivals will meet to start the season and the fourth time the teams will play in South Florida. Week Two sees Miami travel to Buffalo for a Sunday afternoon matchup with the Bills on September 14 at 1:00 pm.

$220,000 in grants to nonprofits that encourage under-served youth to continue their education Wellesley, Mass. (April 23, 2014) – The U.S. Business Group of Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE:SLF, TSX:SLF) today announced its Request For Applications for Sun Life Rising Star Awards grants from South Florida Area nonprofit organizations that promote the academic achievement of under-served youth. Applications are available now at sunliferisingstar.com. The deadline for submissions is June 9. Donating a total of $220,000 in grants and scholarships, Sun Life will award four winning organizations with $50,000 grants, and in turn, each nonprofit will nominate an exemplary student to receive a $5,000 Sun Life Rising Star scholarship towards financing a college education.

For the first time in its 41-year history, the American Invitational, presented by G&C Farm will be held in Miami at Sun Life Stadium. The $200,000 American Invitational presented by G&C Farm, also known as the “Super Bowl of Show Jumping”, is the only major equestrian competition to be held in a football stadium in the United States. Originally held in Tampa, FL for the past 41 years, the American Invitational relocates to Miami for the first time in 2014. Competitors include Olympic Gold Medalists, World Champions and some of the best riders from around the globe all competing for a $200,000 purse and coveted world-ranking points.
