Ecuador’s national team returns to Sun Life Stadium for an exhibition match against England on June 4 at 3 p.m. ET. Ecuador will play England in preparation of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Ecuador has qualified for three FIFA World Cups in franchise history, with all three appearances have been earned within the past 12 years. The team’s most successful performance came when they eliminated England in the 16th round of the 2006 World Cup. Felipe Caicedo is Ecuador’s leading scorer after securing seven goals in nine games.

For the first time, England’s national soccer team will play two friendlies at Sun Life Stadium in preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. England will face Ecuador on June 4 at 3 p.m. ET and Honduras on June 7 at 4:45 p.m. ET. The Three Lions have made 13 appearances at the FIFA World Cup and have secured a 14th in Brazil this year. The team has won the FIFA World Cup in 1966. England’s national team is one of the two oldest teams in football alongside Scotland.
