The summer’s biggest concert made its final tour stop at Sun Life Stadium on August 16th, earning the No. 5 spot on Top 10 Moment of 2013.
The Legends of the Summer Tour, featuring Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, sold out venues across the nation from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena to Yankee Stadium in New York City grossing nearly $70 million. The 13-city, 15-show tour was seen by more than 600,000 fans.
On a hot summer night, Sun Life Stadium was transformed into a concert venue and fans packed the field and stands to watch Justin Timberlake and Jay Z for over two and half hours, performing hits both new and old.
The 2013 season brought a new look to the Miami Dolphins franchise. Coming in as the No. 6 most memorable moment at Sun Life Stadium in 2013 is the Miami Dolphins Logo Evolution and Uniform Unveil.
On April 25th, the first night of the 2013 NFL Draft, before the first pick was made, the Dolphins revealed their new uniforms at the team’s Draft Party held on the field at Sun Life Stadium.
The night began by chronicling the history of the Miami Dolphins logo and uniforms with the help of Hall of Fame quarterbacks Bob Griese and Dan Marino, along with former Miami Dolphins defensive end and Honor Roll inductee Jason Taylor.
Life in Color, the World’s Largest Paint Party comes to Sun Life Stadium on Friday, December 27th. Tickets for the event are available here.

A matchup that featured two World Cup qualifying teams and set an attendance record for soccer in the state of Florida earns the 7th spot on the Top 10 Moments at Sun Life Stadium in 2013. A crowd of 71,124 were in attendance on November 16th to see Brazil defeat Honduras by a score of 5-0.
The electric crowd eclipsed the previous attendance record of 70,080 set at Sun Life Stadium on August 3, 2011 when Barcelona took on Chivas.
Benard opened the scoring for Brazil in the 22nd minute of the game to take an early 1-0 lead.
At No. 8 on the Top 10 Moments at Sun Life Stadium in 2013, we matchup between two rivals; the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators. A crowd of 76,869 were on hand, setting a new attendance record for the University of Miami at Sun Life Stadium, to see the Hurricanes defeat the #9 ranked Gators by a score of 21-16.
This was the 55th meeting between the two rivals, and the first meeting between the two schools in Miami in more than 10 years.
The No. 9 moment of 2013 came early in Miami Dolphins season, as Ryan Tannnehill capped off a 75 yard drive with a one yard touchdown pass to tight end Dions Sims with 38 seconds remaining to lead the Miami Dolphins past the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 27-23. The victory helped the Dolphins improve to 3-0 on the season.
A crowd of 70,660 ecstatic fans were on hand to witness the game winning drive, on which Tannehill completed nine of 12 passes for 69 yards, including go ahead the one yard touchdown to Sims.
Coming in at Number 10 in Sun Life Stadium’s Top 10 Moments of 2013 is the Dolphins Cycling Challenge.
DCC IV took to the streets of South Florida over November 2nd and 3rd, with more than 2,500 cyclists riding along six different routes to raise funds for the University of Miami Comprehensive Cancer Center. This year’s ride has already raised more than $3.1 million for the fight against cancer.
Just before dawn on November 2nd, riders departed Sun Life Stadium as the Miami Century and Miami 30 rides began.
