MIAMI GARDENS – Land Shark Stadium today announced that it will host another international soccer match, the “Celebracion Honduras Mundialista 2010” between Honduras’ national soccer team and Peru on November 18, 2009 at 8:15 p.m.

This friendly match will be in preparation for Honduras’ World Cup appearance in South Africa 2010, their first World Cup competition in 27 years.  Players expected to participate include David Suazo, Wilson Palacio, Rambo Leon, Amado Guevara and many more.

“We’re committed to having soccer at Land Shark Stadium,” said Bruce Schulze, President of Land Shark Stadium.  “It’s good for our community as a whole to have this caliber of professional soccer being played here in our backyard.  Fans will enjoy watching some of the best soccer players in the world and South Florida will strengthen its resume as a great host for big events.”

“We are thrilled to have this great game at Land Shark Stadium,” said Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Miami-Dade County Commissioner and Chairman of the Miami Host City Bid Committee. “This is a great opportunity to have a World Cup qualified team come and play a game as we are in the process of bidding to become a FIFA World Cup city. It really adds a great deal of excitement and energy to this important effort.”

“This will be a great send-off for the Honduran team before they compete in the World Cup and a great event for the soccer community in South Florida,” said Tony Correa of KICS International, the event operator.

Tickets to the match range from $25 to $50 and are available through Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or at the Land Shark Stadium Ticket Office.
