MIAMI GARDENS - After 27 years at the Dania Jai Alai Fronton, the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market is moving to Dolphins Stadium in 2006. The annual, four-day event will take place on the South Interior parking area of Dolphins Stadium, March 30th through April 2nd.

Marine vendors nationwide rely upon the Dania Marine Flea Market to provide an outlet for overstocked and used items as well as ’scratch and dent’ articles that are obsolete as a result of model or design changes. These items cannot be sold through normal channels; therefore, boat owners, fisherman, divers and anyone with an interest in nautical items, find the Marine Flea Market to be a bargain hunter’s dream-come?true.

The new layout of the Marine Flea Market at Dolphins Stadium enables all visitors to get a free parking space close to the bargains.

According to Jennifer Dudas, Marine Flea Market general manager and vice president of Al Behrendt Enterprises, this event is world famous. "The Marine Flea Market is recognized as the largest event of its type in the world. Private individuals and corporate vendors sell marine equipment, coral encrusted antiques, used boats, fishing tackle, diving gear, marine artwork and other boating related items in a pleasant, almost party-like, atmosphere," said Dudas.

Stadium President M. Bruce Schulze said he’s pleased to host this important marine event. The parking lots open at 8:00 AM, one hour before the Marine Flea Market opens to the public at 9:00 AM each morning. Tickets can be purchased on the premises at either of two entrances beginning at 8:00 AM. Closing time is 6:00 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 4:00 PM on Sunday.

The Dania Marine Flea Market and Dolphins Stadium are easily accessible being only minutes from the Florida Turnpike, University Drive and I-95 on Ives Dairy Road. Admission for adults is $10.00 per person ($12.00 Thursday), children under 12 years of age, accompanied by an adult, are free and there are acres of free parking. See you there!
