Aaron Haviland Named Director of Operations of Dolphin Stadium

MIAMI, FL (August 7, 2006) – Bruce Schulze, President of Dolphin Stadium, today announced the appointment of Aaron Haviland as Director of Operations of Dolphin Stadium. Haviland has extensive experience in stadium operations and in college and professional sports.

Haviland will oversee the coordination of planning and operations for all events at Dolphin Stadium. He will have responsibility for the set-up crew, manage all interior and exterior hospitality operations, coordinate Florida Marlins and Miami Dolphins event-day special events, supervise give-away storage and distribution, coordinate event set-up with stadium vendors and partners, and coordinate Metro-Dade and Fire Rescue event operations.

Previously to joining Dolphin Stadium, Haviland worked for the Washington Redskins as Stadium and Event Manager. He oversaw the execution of logistics and operations for all events, including the supervision of electricians, building engineers, housekeepers and general maintenance staff. Haviland also managed third party vendors, vendor contracts and the coordination of technical requirements for broadcast networks, local television crews, local and national radio stations, and print outlets.

Prior to the Redskins, Haviland was the Assistant Director of Operations and Facilities for the University of Maryland where he was instrumental in the opening of the Comcast Center basketball arena in 2002, supervising 280 security and usher staff and developing the security and usher deployment plan for the new arena. Earlier, Haviland worked for CSC, Fordham University, Yale University and the University of New Haven.

Haviland has a BS in Management of Sports Industries from the University of New Haven. Originally from New Hampshire, Aaron and his new bride, Lianne Preville, are in the process of moving to South Florida.
