Food Trucks return to Sun Life Stadium on Sunday, November 17th for the Miami Dolphins vs. San Diego Chargers game! This week, five of South Florida’s top trucks will be featured and available to all fans in the parking lot outside of Gate E. The trucks will begin serving food at 12:00 pm when the parking gates open until 4:00pm, as well as the two hours following the game.
Featured trucks at this Sunday’s game include; Cheeseburger Baby, Box of Chacos and Food Junkies, Crazydilla and the Slow Food Truck.
The Cheeseburger Baby food truck is a branch off of the long-time South Beach restaurant bearing the same name. The brick and mortar restaurant, which is known as “The Very First Cheeseburger Restaurant on South Beach,” is a late night favorite amongst visitors and locals, whose menu features a variety of burgers and sides.
David Peck, who starred as Executive Chef in the kitchens of Morada Bay Beach Café and Tap 42, started his latest culinary adventure with Box of Chacos. Featuring traditional Mexican and Latin American dishes with an influence of Asian flavors, the Box of Chacos menu features items ranging from the Chow Mai Chicken taco to Quesadillas made with Tio’s pork, jalapeño kimchi, three cheeses and salsita.
Food Junkies, home of Dawn’s World Famous Sea Slaw, combines traditional comfort food with Caribbean flavors. The lengthy menu, on which all items are cooked to order, features foods ranging from Fried Chicken and Waffles to Bahamian Style Conch Salad, as well as Auntie Lully’s Mystery Punch.
Crazydilla has taken the quesadilla to new heights. Started by Micah Molinari in 2012, Crazydilla has put a spin on an old favorite with a menu featuring items that include the Cubadilla; a toasted organic tortilla stuffed with slow roasted Cuban pork Serrano ham, Swiss cheese and pickles as well as the Cosa Nostradilla; an Italian take on the traditional quesadilla, with meatballs, melted mozzarella, provolone, and fresh parmesan.
The husband and wife team of Raymond and Maria Delgado created the Grill Master Café, putting their twist on traditional Cuban cuisine. Their menu features everything from a churrasco sandwich with skirt steak, grilled onions, mayo and Grill Master sauces, to
sides that range from croquetas to blooming onion.
