Honduras Reaches World Cup For Second Consecutive Time

Honduras CelebrationFollowing their 2-2 tie with Jamaica last night, Honduras has solidified their spot in the 2014 World Cup, as well as confirmed their matchup with Brazil on November 16th at Sun Life Stadium.

Last night in Kingston, Honduras was led by Carlos Costly who opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute of play.

This marks only the third time in their nation’s history that Honduras has qualified for a World Cup.  Honduras previously qualified for the 1982 World Cup in Spain and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The November 16th matchup of Brazil and Honduras at Sun Life Stadium will feature two of the 32 teams that have qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Tickets for the November 16th match are available here.
