PRESS RELEASE: Due To High Demand, Upper Level Opened For Brazil Vs. Honduras Match

Brazilian Soccer Federation also announces star-studded 22-player roster

soccer_brahon_600x300Thursday, October 31, 2013 – Sun Life Stadium officials announced today that due to increased demand for the soccer match between Brazil vs. Honduras scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, November 16, upper level tickets are now available for purchase. These tickets are affordably priced at $45 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling the stadium box office at (305) 943-6311.

“The lower and club levels for Brazil-Honduras are virtually sold out and we wanted to provide more opportunities for fans to see this highly anticipated matchup,” said Todd Boyan, Senior Vice President of Sun Life Stadium Operations.  “Fans have really responded to these two teams and we are excited about bringing another world class soccer event to Sun Life Stadium.”

Brazil and Honduras are two of the 32 teams that have qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil to be played next summer.  This marks only the third time in their nation’s history that Honduras has qualified for a World Cup.  Honduras previously qualified for the 1982 World Cup in Spain and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The Brazilian Soccer Federation (Confederacao  Brasileira de Futebol) also announced a star-studded 22-player roster that includes Neymar for its matches on November 16 against Honduras at Sun Life Stadium in Miami and November 19 match against Chile at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

The Brazil roster includes international stars such as David Luiz, Dani Alves, Marcelo, Hulk and Robinho and features a total of 14 players from the team that won the 2014 FIFA Confederations Cup in June.  14 of the players also currently play for European clubs taking part in the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League.

Midfielders – Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Hernanes (Lazio), Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Paulinho (Tottenham), Ramires (Chelsea), Oscar (Chelsea)

Forwards – Jo (Atletico Mineiro), Robinho (Milan), Hulk (Zenit St. Petersburg), Willian (Chelsea), Bernard (Shaktar Donetsk), Neymar (FC Barcelona)
