The Colombian Independence Festival returns to Sun Life Stadium for the second time on Sunday, July 20 to celebrate its 26th anniversary. The festival, which runs from 2 p.m.– 11 p.m., includes a large children’s playground, ethnic foods, arts and crafts and live performances by Colombian and Latin American artists.
The main stage will feature a wide array of musical acts including Latin Grammy Award winning vallenato artist Jorge Celedon, the long-running popular salsa group Orquesta Guayacan (formally known as Group Niche), and one of the most renowned vallento singers in Colombia, Iván Villazón.
In addition, there will also be performances on the main stage by Integracion Casanova, Maelo Ruiz, Farruka, and Sonora Carruseles.
Last year, for the first time at Sun Life Stadium, the festival had more than 25,000 participants.
